Opt Overland: Fort Collins, Colorado

 One of the highlights of the trip for me was visiting our Friends Heidi and Dai Stoker. We originally met the Stoker's when then lived down the street from our previous house on Mercer Island. Heidi and my wife Angela became fast friends and found common ground in art, dogs, kids and enjoying the beauty of life. Heidi is one of the chillest, coolest people I've ever met...

Everyday on my way to work I'd drive by their place and admire a super cool, VW Syncro double cab (similar to this). It was Dai's and I subsequently discovered he had a passion for unique trucks, cars and campers. When they settled down in Fort Collins, Colorado they founded OptOverland. Opt Overland does camper conversions, rentals plus they're developing a line of camper accessories. They specialize in overland or boon-docking (camping without hook-ups) rigs which mean you go more off road and off grid.

As I was building out the CR-V I remembered some of the awesome builds and restorations I'd seen Dai do. It was really cool to get a thumbs up from the Opt Overland crew on our efforts!

What trip to Fort Collins would be compete without a visit to the New Belgium Brewery!
